Flyer prices at a glance
These are the prices on my print shop for flyers printed on both sides on 150gsm silk, the standard flyer paper. Every price includes tracked UK delivery, and I’m not VAT registered, so there’s no VAT to add at checkout. The table is read from the shop’s own price list, so it matches what you pay when you order flyers.
| Quantity | A6 (105 × 148mm) | A5 (148 × 210mm) | DL (99 × 210mm) | A4 (210 × 297mm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | £30 | £33 | £32 | £40 |
| 250 | £33 | £48 | £36 | £64 |
| 500 | £36 | £51 | £42 | £79 |
| 1,000 | £44 | £60 | £53 | £102 |
| 2,500 | £60 | £95 | £74 | £184 |
| 5,000 | £75 | £129 | £102 | £279 |
| 10,000 | £121 | £230 | £175 | £457 |
The price per flyer
The total goes up with quantity, but the price of each flyer comes down, because the cost of setting up the job and delivering it is shared across more copies. 100 A5 flyers work out at 33p each. At 1,000 it’s 6p each, and at 10,000 it’s 2.3p. That’s why it’s worth printing the number you’ll really use in one go, rather than reordering small runs every few weeks.
| Quantity | Total | Per flyer |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | £33 | 33p |
| 250 | £48 | 19p |
| 500 | £51 | 10p |
| 1,000 | £60 | 6p |
| 2,500 | £95 | 3.8p |
| 5,000 | £129 | 2.6p |
| 10,000 | £230 | 2.3p |
What changes the price
Four things set the price of a flyer: its size, the paper, whether it’s printed on one side or both, and the quantity. Size makes the biggest difference: 1,000 A6 flyers cost £44, while 1,000 A4 flyers cost £102. Printing on one side saves very little: 1,000 A5 flyers cost £57 on one side and £60 on both, so it’s nearly always worth using the back. Heavier paper costs more per copy, as the table shows.
| Paper | 1,000 A5 flyers |
|---|---|
| 150gsm silk (standard) | £60 |
| 170gsm silk | £72 |
| 250gsm silk | £88 |
| 350gsm silk (card) | £115 |
| 130gsm gloss | £70 |
| 120gsm uncoated | £72 |
| 170gsm uncoated | £80 |
Flyers or folded leaflets?
A flyer is one flat sheet. A folded leaflet gives you 4 or 6 panels from one sheet, for a menu, a price list or a longer story, and it costs more because of the folding: 1,000 A4 sheets folded to A5 cost £113, against £102 for 1,000 flat A4 flyers and £60 for 1,000 A5 flyers. If everything fits on two sides of A5, a flyer is the better buy.
What design costs
If you need the flyer designed, my flyer and poster design starts from £125, quoted for your brief, and you can order the print at the same time. If you already have artwork, upload a print-ready PDF and I’ll check it before it’s printed. The flyer sizes guide gives the bleed and pixel sizes for each size, and flyer and leaflet design covers what makes a flyer work.
How to get the best price
Print the number you’ll really use, in one order, as the price per flyer falls as the quantity goes up. Choose a standard size, as A6, A5 and DL cost least. Use both sides, because it costs little more. Stick to 150gsm silk unless you want the flyer to feel like card. And if you’re posting flyers through letterboxes, the door drop leaflets guide compares prices by the thousand.
