Freelance Graphic Designer for UK Businesses & Agencies

Senior brand, graphic, web and motion design, run remotely from brief to final files, wherever you are in the UK.

I’m Ross Boag, a freelance designer based in Glasgow with 12+ years in agency studios, in-house teams and live commercial environments. Businesses and agencies across the UK hire me for brand identities, campaigns, websites, motion and screen content, and print, without the cost or delay of an agency.

How remote projects run

A remote project, step by step

Hiring a designer you haven’t met only works if the process is clear. Every project follows the same four steps, so you always know what happens next and what I need from you. You deal with me directly throughout: no account managers, and no handing the work down to someone more junior.

  1. 01

    Brief and call

Send the brief through the contact form or by email, with any brand files, examples and your deadline. If it’s easier to talk it through, we arrange a phone or video call.

  2. 02

    Quote before work starts

You get a quote based on the published starting prices before anything begins, covering what’s included, so the cost is agreed up front. Larger jobs are scoped first.

  3. 03

    Drafts and feedback

I share drafts as PDFs, images or preview links. You send your feedback in one place, I refine the design, and we go through rounds of changes until you sign it off.

  4. 04

    Delivery

Final files arrive by download link, named and organised: print-ready PDFs, vector logos, web and social formats, and video files for motion work.

How long it takes

Flyers, posters, menus and social graphics can often be turned around in 24–72 hours, depending on availability. Standard print artwork and simple animated social graphics usually take 3–5 working days once the brief and content are agreed. A simple website typically takes 2–4 weeks once content is supplied, and larger multi-page sites 4–8 weeks. Tell me your deadline in the brief and I’ll confirm whether it works before anything is booked in.

What I offer

Eight services, all available remotely

Every service I offer works remotely, and every one has a published starting price. Pick the one that fits, or send the brief and I’ll suggest the best starting point. A small business might start with a logo, a website or a set of marketing materials; an agency might need campaign rollouts, artwork or motion.

Prices are starting points. The final cost depends on the scope, and you always get a quote before work starts. Building a website for a small business? The UK website cost guide explains what each price level includes.

Ongoing work

For agencies and for regular design

Agencies

Overflow and white-label design

If you run a creative, marketing or digital agency anywhere in the UK, I can work as senior overflow when the studio is at capacity, or white-label under your agency name. Client contact stays with you unless agreed otherwise, and I work in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma to your file structure and naming. Agency work is charged by the day, by the half day or by project quote.

Monthly support

Regular design for one monthly fee

For businesses that need design every month, monthly creative support starts from £295/month: social graphics, print artwork, website updates and campaign assets from one designer who already knows your brand. There’s no lock-in, and plans can be paused or cancelled with one month’s notice.

Print

Print delivered anywhere in the UK

Once the design is signed off, you can order the print from me too. The print shop has 68 products in 16 categories, and every price includes delivery to any UK address. I check every file before it prints. Printed in 3–4 working days once your artwork is approved, then delivered by tracked courier.

That means one designer is responsible for both the artwork and the finished print, whether it’s business cards for a new brand, leaflets for a campaign or roller banners and exhibition displays for an event.

Experience

Why hire a senior freelancer

I’ve spent 12+ years in agency studios, in-house marketing teams and live commercial environments, designing for brands including Coca-Cola, Hilton, Volvo, Lotus, Laphroaig and Glasgow Airport. Brand guidelines, approval rounds and tight deadlines are normal, so a remote brief doesn’t need hand-holding.

One person can cover brand, campaign, print, web, motion and screen work, so a job that might otherwise need two or three suppliers stays consistent and moves faster. See my experience.

FAQ

Questions about working remotely

01

Do you work with businesses outside Scotland?

Yes. I work remotely from Glasgow with businesses and agencies across the UK. Briefs, feedback and delivery all happen by email, phone or video call and shared files, so where you are doesn’t change how the project runs.

02

What hours do you work, and how quickly do you reply?

I’m in the UK, so we share a time zone and I work UK business hours. I typically reply within 24 hours on business days. For anything urgent, call or text 07482 679 410.

03

How does payment work?

Every design job is quoted before work starts, so the cost is agreed up front. Monthly support is a fixed monthly fee with no lock-in, and can be paused or cancelled with one month’s notice. Print shop orders are paid securely by card at checkout, with no VAT to add.

04

What file formats will I get?

Whatever the job needs: print-ready PDFs for print, logos as vector SVG and PDF files plus PNGs with transparent backgrounds, web-ready images for websites and social media, and MP4, GIF or MOV files for motion work. Agencies can have organised working files from Adobe Creative Cloud or Figma.

05

Do you travel to meet clients?

I meet clients in person around Glasgow, Paisley and Renfrewshire. Elsewhere in the UK, projects run remotely by phone, video call and email. For agencies, on-site days in Glasgow can be discussed for longer bookings.

06

Can you work white-label for my agency?

Yes. Work is delivered under your agency’s name, client contact stays with you unless agreed otherwise, and confidentiality is standard. I can cover overflow for a few days, a campaign or a busy quarter.

In Paisley or Renfrewshire? I can meet you in person.
