Roller banner sizes
Roller banners, also called pull-up banners, are 2000mm (2m) tall. The width is what changes: 850mm is the standard, 800mm is slightly narrower, and 1000mm gives more room. Wide banners at 1200 or 1500mm work as a backdrop, double-sided banners are printed on both sides, and desktop banners stand on a table or counter.
| Type | Graphic size | Stand |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 800, 850 or 1000 × 2000mm | Standard stand, graphic fitted, carry bag |
| Premium | 850 or 1000 × 2000mm | Premium stand, graphic fitted, carry bag |
| Wide | 1200 or 1500 × 2000mm | Extra-wide stand, graphic fitted, carry bag |
| Double-sided | 800 × 2000mm | Twin cassette, printed both sides |
| Desktop | A4 (210 × 297mm) or A3 (297 × 420mm) | Tabletop pull-up stand |
Which size to choose
850mm suits most receptions, shop floors and events. Go to 1000mm if it’s your only banner and needs more presence. Two standard banners side by side, or one wide banner, make a simple backdrop for an exhibition stand or a stage. Choose double-sided for open spaces where people walk past from both directions, and desktop banners for counters, tables and reception desks.
Setting up the artwork
Supply artwork at the full graphic size, for example 850 × 2000mm, with 3mm of bleed on every edge. Put your logo and headline in the top third, where people see them at eye level, and keep the very bottom simple, as it sits close to the base and the floor. Each product page lists the bleed and resolution it needs, and I check every file before it’s printed. If you need a template, ask me.
What to put on a roller banner
People read a roller banner in a few seconds as they walk past, so keep it short: your logo, one clear headline, three or four points at most, and how to get in touch. Big type, strong contrast and one main image work better than lots of small text.
