Foam PVC signs, on the board many sign shops call Foamex, are smooth, rigid and light, made for indoor signage and displays. Use them for office and reception signs, shop displays, exhibition panels, wayfinding and menu boards. They give a clean, flat finish that looks sharp up close, and they’re light enough to move around easily.

Foam PVC signs: common questions

3mm or 5mm foam PVC?

3mm is lighter and fine for signs fixed flat to a wall or placed in a frame. 5mm is thicker and stiffer, so it suits larger signs and anything that needs to feel more solid in the hand.

Foam PVC or aluminium composite?

Foam PVC is smooth and rigid, made for indoor signs and displays. For a permanent outdoor sign, choose aluminium composite, which is rigid and weatherproof. For a temporary outdoor sign, correx is light and waterproof.

What artwork do foam PVC signs need?

Supply a PDF, JPG or PNG up to 200MB at 150dpi at full size, with 3mm bleed. Keep text and logos at least 10mm inside the edge. If it’s double-sided, send a page for each side.
