Backlit posters: common questions

Can I use a backlit poster in a normal frame?

Backlit film is made to be lit from behind, in a lightbox or illuminated frame. For an ordinary frame or noticeboard, a paper poster or a waterproof PVC poster is the better choice.

What size backlit poster do I need?

Measure the poster area of your lightbox, then choose the matching size: A3, A2, A1, A0, 30 × 20in, 40 × 30in or 60 × 40in. If your frame takes a size that isn’t listed, get in touch.

What artwork do backlit posters need?

Supply a PDF, JPG or PNG up to 200MB at 150dpi at full size, with 3mm bleed. Keep text and logos at least 10mm inside the edge, as the frame may cover the outer edge of the poster.
