Why websites go out of date
Most small business websites are accurate on launch day and slowly drift: old prices, last year’s offers, staff who have left, broken links. Visitors notice, and so does Google. A maintenance plan keeps the site current without you having to log in and remember how everything works. This guide covers keeping an existing site running. For the cost of building a new one, see website design prices in Glasgow.
Monthly plans and what they cover
Website Care, £95 a month: small text updates, image swaps, contact detail changes, a website banner update, a basic broken link check and a contact form check. Website Care Plus, £195 a month: regular page content updates, menu, price or service updates, new banners, offer and campaign changes, seasonal homepage updates and basic layout improvements. Website Management, £295 a month: all of that, plus up to 3 banners or page graphics, homepage promotional sections, image organisation and basic SEO title and description updates. Ecommerce Support, £395 a month: product, category, banner and sale updates, with up to 15 product uploads a month.
Monthly plan or pay as you go?
If you only change something once or twice a year, pay as you go. If you update menus, prices, offers or events most months, as many Glasgow restaurants, venues and retailers do, a plan is usually cheaper and much quicker, because updates do not need a new quote each time.
What maintenance does not include
Plans cover updates and light improvements. Full redesigns, new ecommerce builds, custom functionality and major new sections are quoted separately, so you always know what is included.
Sites I can support
I work with WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix and Webflow, so I can usually support an existing site even if I did not build it. Send me the web address and I will tell you which plan fits.
